Let's set the record straight, as we are on the same page as the Federal Government! In January 2025, we named our company Choice Benefits, with the goal of giving businesses and their employees more choices for employee benefits. In May 2025, the potential changes in legislation played out perfectly as we were already leading the market in ICHRA.
However, ICHRA was just a small piece, and there was room to create a better ICHRA platform encompassing all the benefits and consumer-directed healthcare accounts. There is much room for better benefits, and we will be proud to be among the first to offer CHOICE Arrangements if they pass the legislative process.
Proposed CHOICE Arrangements refer to a new type of employer health reimbursement arrangement introduced by the U.S. Treasury and IRS in a 2023 proposed rule (not yet finalized as of mid-2024). “CHOICE” stands for "Coverage for Health and Opportunity for Individual Choice Empowerment."
