What the notice should communicate
- The arrangement’s start date and plan year
- The maximum amount available to the employee
- Who is eligible and when eligibility begins
- The requirement to maintain qualifying individual coverage
- How the offer may affect Marketplace premium tax credits
- How to opt out when permitted
- Where to get plan-shopping and enrollment help
- How claims, substantiation and reimbursements work
Timing matters
Federal rules generally require advance notice for eligible employees, with separate timing considerations for employees who become eligible later. Build notice delivery into the launch calendar instead of treating it as a last-minute email.
The notice is not the entire enrollment experience
Employees still need a plain-language invitation, marketplace link, support contact, effective-date deadline and instructions for submitting proof of coverage. The formal notice and the enrollment campaign should work together.
Launch from one employer hub
Choice Benefits organizes the plan decisions, document checklist, notice preview, employee invitation and shopping link in one guided workflow.
